KETOGENIC DIET – 7 DAY KETOGENIC DIET MEAL PLAN

This diet is often called keto diet and it dates back to the 1920s. Endocrinologist Dr. Henry Geyelin created this diet to treat epilepsy. But later in 1921 Geyelin found that this type of food was actually effective on how the body processes nutrients and it lead to a fewer attacks in all patients.

This diet is really similar to the Atkins diet where the phase induction with the Atkins diet is actually ketogenic diet. The main important thing about ketogenic diet is to reduce the carbohydrates intake and replace them with healthy fats and protein. 7 day ketogenic diet meal plan

Day 1

  • Breakfast: Eggs, bacon and tomato
  • Lunch: Chicken salad made with olive oil and some feta cheese
  • Dinner: Cooked salmon with asparagus in butter

Day 2

  • Breakfast: Eggs, tomatoes, goat cheese and basil
  • Lunch: Mixed peanut butter, almond milk, cocoa butter and milkshake with stevia
  • Dinner: Meatballs combined with veggies and cheddar cheese

Day 3

  • Breakfast: Keto milkshake
  • Lunch: Prawns, avocado and olive oil salad
  • Dinner: Pork chops with broccoli, parmesan cheese and salad

Day 4

  • Breakfast: Avocado, peppers, onions, spices and salsa omelet
  • Lunch: A handful of nut and celery with guacamole and salsa
  • Dinner: Stuffed chicken with cheese and veggies

Day 5

  • Breakfast: Cheese and tomatoes omelet
  • Lunch: Last dinner’s remains
  • Dinner: Eggs, steak, mushrooms and salad

Day 6

  • Breakfast: Ham and veggie omelet
  • Lunch: Ham, cheese, and handful of nuts
  • Dinner: Cooked white fish, eggs, and spinach on coconut oil

Day 7

  • Breakfast: Eggs with mushrooms and bacon
  • Lunch: Salsa cheese and guacamole hamburger
  • Dinner: Beef steak, eggs, and salad

KETO SNACKS

We all get hungry between our meals and have some snack. But while following this diet, it is really important to have some good healthy snack just like these:

  • Olives and cheese
  • 1-2 hardboiled eggs
  • 90% cocoa content dark chocolate
  • Celery with salsa and guacamole
  • Nuts and seeds
  • Yogurt mixed with cocoa butter and pecan butter
  • Low content of sugar and carbohydrates milkshake with cocoa butter and pecan butter
